« Shred Boot Camp »

A new way to learn guitar

Tobias Hurwitz has been writing guitar books for over fifteen years, he has more than ten books to his credit, and this time he decided to do things a little differently. Shred Boot Camp is filled with all the knowledge and technique you will need to bring your manic fingers to the next musical precipice. But this time it's all told as a graphic novel. You follow four teenagers abducted from their small club gigs and dropped in to a galactic venue as they train to defeat the evil Master. They are trained by the universes greatest shredders in preperation for their ultimate battle. A cosmic confruntation, putting their chops up against The Master's with no less than the fate of the entire world at stake.

As the characters tackle ever more advanced lessons the reader is right there with them thanks to Jesse Smolover's engaging illustrations. He seems to have particularly relished crafting the alien landscapes our suburban adventurers find themselves thrown into.

Tobias has enlisted some of the best contemporary shredders to accompany him on the CD. Each shredder takes on the role of an indevidual character. Lending their enique styleing to their character as you follow them thought their indevidual trialns and collaberative battle of dueling guitars with The Master.

The curriculum, story, art and CD come togethe to make Shred Boot Camp a fully integrated and immersive experience.
